VECTOR: Vancouver Emergency Community Telecommunications Organization

Primary backup emergency communications service for Vancouver. Strives to have amateur radio teams helping every part of Vancouver to deliver messages whenever needed. Helps Vancouver Emergency Management Agency and others prepare for emergencies. Assists regular people to become amateur radio operators. Runs local amateur repeaters. Volunteers may be able to help other areas coordinate community response when local disaster arises, and can help community organizations communicate during complex public events. Qualified ham radio operators and clubs can join VECTOR with a $20 annual membership. A volunteer-run nonprofit society and registered charity.
