Vehicle Sales Authority of British Columbia (VSA)

Oversees the retail sales of personal-use motor vehicles in BC. Licenses and regulates automobile, RV, and motorcycle dealers and salespeople. Administers consumer protection legislation related to licensed motor dealers, including professional standards, consumer education, and dispute resolution. Investigates sales-related complaints about non-disclosure or misrepresentation of prior damage and use, out-of-province registration, deposit terms, and dealer fees. Independent regulatory body authorized by the province to administer the Motor Dealer Act, the Business Practices and Consumer Protection Act, and regulations. Hours are 8:30 am to 5 pm Monday to Friday. Nonprofit society.
