Provides disability compensation, economic support, and health care benefits to eligible veterans and members of the Canadian Armed Forces, members and former members of the RCMP, and their families. Services include information and referral, form completion assistance, needs assessment, and care planning. Also offers help to access health and mental health services, support for transitioning to civilian life, home care services, grounds maintenance, long-term care, and rehabilitation programs. Financial assistance includes disability compensation, health-related benefits, help with the cost of funerals and burials, and the War Veterans Allowance. The VAC Treatment Benefits Grid provides weekly updated coverage details, including frequencies and dollar amounts, for benefits and services, except for dental, medical, and prescriptions. The Veterans Homelessness Support map lists local organizations providing support for veterans who are homeless or at risk of homelessness. Financial aid available to attend post-secondary education for children of a deceased Veteran or Canadian Armed Forces member. Offers commemorative activities to honour the achievements and sacrifices of those who served Canada.
