New Roots adult day program is a place for seniors and other adults with health-related disabilities to connect with their community through socialization and participation in therapeutic recreational activities in a safe and supervised setting. Promotes independent living, health and wellness, and community involvement through cognitive and physically stimulating activities, health monitoring, client and caregiver support, coffee/tea and snack, hot lunch, and respite for family and caregivers. Daily program fee is $10. Open referral. Serves individuals in the Arbutus Walk, Coal Harbour, Downtown, Fairview Slopes, False Creek, West End, West Side, and Yaletown neighbourhoods of Vancouver. Program hours are 10:15 am to 2:15 pm Tuesday to Friday. Office hours are 9 am to 4:30 pm Tuesday to Friday. Funded by Vancouver Coastal Health. Nonprofit society.
