A report shows a comparison of international credentials and Canadian standards to facilitate the processes of employment, immigration, professional licensure, and academic admission. The Gateway Program can reliably validate and assess the education of individuals displaced by political unrest, conflict, and natural disasters, even when verifiable documents are not available. Individuals must possess at least one piece of credible evidence issued by their academic institution; have been education in either Afghanistan, Eritrea, Iraq, Syria, Turkey, Ukraine, or Venezuela; and be referred by a designated Canadian partner organization.
