Youth-driven organization aims to reduce the stigma associated with HIV and hepatitis C on BC's children and youth, ages six to 29. Addresses underlying factors that shape how these viruses impact communities, and assists youth to make well-informed and safer decisions about their sexual health and substance use. Programming includes volunteer opportunities for youth, peer education and support, advocacy, referrals, outreach, social activities, and workshops provided on request throughout the Lower Mainland and in Indigenous communities. Poz Youth Programs is peer-led regular ongoing programming for youth living with HIV and/or hepatitis C, one-on-one support for youth living with HIV, and a camp program specific to youth living with HIV. Mpowerment is a queer centered, gender affirming, and trans inclusive space that fosters and encourage HIV leadership and well-being for for young men and gender diverse folk; programming offered in Prince George, the Fraser Region, and Vancouver. Yuusnewas provides education and volunteer opportunities for Indigenous youth. Scholarships are available to support education for youth up to 29 years of age living with HIV.
