Service Description

Family-centred program for Indigenous children from birth to age six who have or who are at risk of having a developmental delay. Supports parents to understand and respond to children's needs. Services are delivered in culturally sensitive and meaningful ways. Home-based services include home visits, activity planning, developmental assessment and family needs assessment, and referral to other community services. Also offers parent-child group programs and social events, and a toy and resource library. Open referral. Serves Burnaby, New Westminster, and Tri-Cities. Office hours are 8:30 am to 4:30 pm Monday to Friday. Funded by the BC Association of Aboriginal Friendship Centres and Ministry of Children and Family Development (MCFD).
