Service Description

Enables Aboriginal children up to age 18 who require extra supports to be included in child care settings and communities. Designed to ensure cultural safety and cultural sensitivity for First Nations children and families. Supports children in the areas of physical, cognitive, communicative, social/emotional, and behavioural development. Services include parenting skill development, assistance finding child care, individual planning, extra staffing support for childcare programs, training for families and childcare providers, and referral to other community resources. Open referral with parental consent. Serves T'sil Kaz Koh, Cheslatta Carrier Nation, Lake Babine Nation, Nadleh Whut'en, Nee Tahi Buhn Band, Saik'uz First Nation, Skin Tyee First Nation, Stellat'en First Nation, Takla Nation, Wet'suwet'en First Nation, and Yekooche First Nation. Hours are 8:30 am to 4:30 pm Monday to Friday. Funded by Ministry of Children and Family Development (MCFD).
