Service Description

Provides resources and consultation regarding communication access services and supports for students who are Deaf, Hard of Hearing, or DeafBlind to attain their academic goals in post-secondary education in BC. Aims to prevent and remove barriers to full participation and inclusion, and promotes strategies and practices that ensure effective communication access across the public post-secondary system in BC. Offers online resources for students, including an online transition course, Transition Into Post-Secondary Studies (TIPS) (https://ace-bc.ca/courses/tips-transition-workshop). Provides support and resources for Accessibility Service coordinators, administrators and staff, faculty members, and other service providers to assist in providing equitable services to Deaf, Hard of Hearing and DeafBlind students. Hours are 8:30 am to 4:30 pm Monday to Friday. Centralized hub, serving as a provincial resource program funded by Ministry of Post-Secondary Education and Future Skills.
