Service Description

A nurse practitioner and gynecologist provide complex contraception counselling, menstrual suppression, and dilator therapy in addition to regular reproductive health screening for transgender patients, adolescents age 16 and older, adult women with intellectual or physical disabilities, and others who have experienced barriers to reproductive health screening in their regular health care provider's office or clinic. Services include pap tests, pelvic and breast exams, birth control information, IUD insertions, testing for sexually transmitted infections, menstrual suppression and dilator therapy, menopausal advice and management, and referral to mammography. No referral required, but a health care provider or clinic is needed to obtain results. Clinics held Tuesday afternoons; special arrangements can be made for appointments at other times.
