Adult Day Program - Bella Coola

Provides a day program for eligible seniors and adults with disabilities that offers a range of health, social stimulation, and therapeutic recreational programs in support group settings. Services include nursing supervision, health status monitoring, medication support and monitoring, assistance with personal care if needed, and respite for caregivers and families. Also provides a community bathing program for eligible seniors and others with disabling chronic care problems. Culturally-sensitive services and liaisons for Nuxalk First Nations are available. Clients are picked up and dropped off by a wheelchair accessible bus service. Clients may be charged a small fee per day to attend the program; this fee is for supplies, a meal and snacks, and transportation. Referral required from Home and Community Care following an assessment. Site hours are 10:30 am to 3 pm Monday to Friday; program hours are based on individual need.
