Service Description

Provides services for people age 19 and over who have or may be developing a serious or persistent mental illness, and affected family members. Adult Community Support Services include case management, psychiatric consultation, family therapy, group therapy, as well as psycho-educational groups for people with schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, or complex depression. Offers support groups for people with bipolar disorder, and for family members of people with chronic mental health disabilities. The Mental Health Rehabilitation Program enables individuals to participate as fully as possible in their community in areas of personal life, leisure, education, and work. Assertive Community Outreach provides intensive support in order to reduce hospitalization and improve each person's level of functioning and quality of life. The Community Residential Program offers placement and case management in residential therapeutic facilities. The Concurrent Disorders Program offers counselling, support groups, and psycho-educational groups for individuals dealing with both mental illness and addiction. Also offers the Family Therapy Program which provides counselling for family members of individuals enrolled in psychiatric programs. Referral from a family physician required. Office hours are 8:30 am to 4:30 pm Monday to Friday.
