Agreements with Young Adults Program

Service Description

A legal agreement between young adults and MCFD that supports young people ages 19 to 26 inclusive who are transitioning out of care and into adulthood. Provides financial help with living expenses such as housing, child care, tuition, and health care while attending school, job training, a rehabilitation program for mental health or substance use, or a life skills program. To apply, individuals must be at least 19, and on their 19th birthday they must be either in the custody of a director, in permanent custody of the Superintendent, in the guardianship of a director of adoption, in the guardianship of a director under the Family Relations Act, or in a Youth Agreement. Program is accessed through local MCFD offices.
