Service Description
Administers and enforces regulations of Animal Control Bylaw pertaining to all types of pets, domestic farm animals, wildlife, or beekeeping. Investigates reports of dog bites or barking dog complaints. The BC SPCA provides shelter services, and deals with reports of dogs off-leash, dogs running at large, dogs left in a hot car, lost and found pets, and stray, injured, or dead animals in Richmond. Bylaw officers are available from 8:15 am to 5 pm Monday to Friday. Shelter hours are 7 am to 9 pm Monday to Sunday including statutory holidays except Christmas day.
