Service Description
Administers and enforces regulations of Animal Control Bylaw. Issues include barking and noisy dogs, loose and unleashed dogs, neglected or stray dogs, injured dogs, attacking or aggressive dogs, and dogs kept outside without appropriate shelter. Issues dog licences. Provides pick-up of dead pets or animals (raccoons, skunks, and squirrels). Impound services are contracted out to Northwest Kennels. Animal control hours are 8:30 am to 5 pm Monday to Friday.
