Service Description
Administers and enforces regulations of the Animal Control Bylaw. Issues include barking and noisy dogs, loose and unleashed dogs, neglected or stray dogs, and attacking or aggressive dogs. The city also provides dog licences and picks up reported deceased animals. Hours are 8:30 am to 4:30 pm Monday to Friday. Coquitlam Animal Shelter (500 Mariner Way, Coquitlam) is contracted to provide animal shelter and adoption services for Port Coquitlam. Shelter hours are 9 am to 8 pm Monday to Friday and 10 am to 4 pm Saturdays and Sundays.
