Service Description

Provides safe, secure, temporary shelter and crisis line support for women with or without children, who are escaping violent relationships or are at-risk of abuse, threats, or violence. Accepts transgender women who have identified and lived as women for at least two years on a case-by-case basis. May accept male children up to age 18 on a case-by-case basis. Accepts refugees and refugee claimants, as well as women from out of province. Length of stay is 30 days. High-barrier house; no substance use on or off-site. Gives women a safe and supportive living environment with access to daily living requirements such as clothing, toiletries, and nutritious meals. Offers resource information to enable women to explore their options and define their goals as well as assist with the development of safety plans. Personal identification (ID) is not required. Cannot accommodate pets. Funded by BC Housing.
