Bad Date Reporting

Provided by: WISH Drop-in Centre Society

Service Description

Sex workers can report and share bad experiences in order to alert and protect each other. A "bad date" is anything that one does not want to experience and can include feeling uncomfortable about a date, or someone being rude, stealing, refusing to pay, threatening or any and all acts of violence and aggression. Bad dates can be reported anonymously in person or by completing the form obtained on the agency's website and emailed to redlightalert@wishdropincentre.org. The information becomes part of the Red Light Alert and disseminated to a network of service providers who are in contact with women working in the sex industry. Also offers third party reporting to adult women sex workers (inclusive of cisgender and transgender women, and non-binary and Two-Spirit people) who are victims of sexual assault; staff report the assault to police on behalf of the victim who remains anonymous. To be added to the weekly Red Light Alert distribution list, email the agency.
