Provides a comprehensive cancer control program in partnership with Northern Health. This includes prevention, screening and early detection programs, research and education, and care and treatment. Also provides access to supportive services such as nutrition, pain and symptom management, counselling, and group programs. The Indigenous Cancer Care Counsellor assists patients and families from First Nations communities coping with cancer and offers referrals to community agencies. The Cancer Information Centre provides information for patients and family members to better understand cancer and its treatment. Serves all residents of northern BC. Hours are 7:30 am to 4:30 pm Monday to Friday. Located next to the University Hospital of Northern BC.
