BC Ferries Accessible Fare Identification

Service Description

Discount passenger fares are available for residents of BC who have a permanent disability. To receive the discount, the BC Ferries Accessible Fare Identification (AFI) card or a Canadian Institute for the Blind (CNIB) card must be presented to the ticket agent upon arrival to the terminal. Customers apply for the AFI Card by downloading the application online and submitting it to BC Ferries by mail. Also offers discounted fares for seniors on select routes from Monday to Thursday; not applicable on public holidays. Medically Assured Loading is available for patients who are approved for the Ministry of Health Travel Assistance Program; fares are covered by the Ministry of Health. Customer service hours are 7 am to 10 pm Monday to Friday, and 7 am to 7 pm Saturdays and Sundays.
