Service Description

Provides pre-arrival and post-arrival settlement services to French-speaking permanent residents. Services include initial orientation, needs assessments by settlement officers, information and referral, employment services and community connections. Provides information on basics such as social insurance numbers, MSP, housing, banking, enrolling in school, child care and driver's licences. Employment services include assistance with resumes and cover letters, job search skills and interview preparation. Social connections can include pairing up with a volunteer member of the community, organized social events, and conversation groups. Services can be in person, online, one-on-one or in a group setting, depending on the need. Hours are 8:30 am to 4:30 pm Monday to Friday. Funded by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC).
