BC Housing Registry

Provided by: BC Housing

Service Description

A centralized database of applicants seeking subsidized housing across BC. Eligibility is based on residency and household income below a certain limit; see website for full eligibility requirements. Applicants can apply online, by mail, by fax, or at the nearest BC Housing office in order to be considered for available units. Individuals in Fraser Valley, Metro Vancouver, Sea to Sky, and Sunshine Coast communities may also go to the BC Housing Applicant Services storefront office in Burnaby for in-person assistance in accessing the registry. The registry is accessible to nonprofit and cooperative providers of rent-geared-to-income housing who are lookin for tenants; housing providers maintain responsibility for screening and selecting tenants, and membership is free. Developed in partnership with BC Housing, the BC Non-Profit Housing Association, the Co-operative Housing Federation of BC, nonprofit housing providers, housing cooperatives, municipalities, and other community-based organizations. Office hours are 8:30 am to 4:30 pm Monday to Friday.
