BC Palliative Care Benefits

Pays the full cost of eligible prescription and non-prescription drugs and medical supplies/equipment such as IV, wound care, and incontinence supplies; bathing aids, mobility aids; and hospital beds for people who have reached end of life and who wish to receive palliative care where they are living. The program is for BC residents of any age who have reached the end stage of a life-threatening illness or condition, who wish to receive palliative care, and who live at home, with family or friends, in a supportive or assisted-living residence, or in a hospice unit of a care facility that is not registered with PharmaCare Plan B (Long-term Care). For information on the program, phone lines are open 8 am to 8 pm Monday to Friday and 8 am to 4 pm Saturdays.
