BC Smoking Cessation Program

Assists BC residents who wish to stop smoking or using other tobacco products by helping with the cost of smoking cessation aids. Prescription smoking cessation drugs are covered under the patient's PharmaCare; clients need a prescription for the drug. Non-prescription nicotine replacement therapy (NRT) products are provided at no cost; clients must have active MSP coverage and can register at their local pharmacy to receive gum, lozenges, patches, or inhalers. Eligible BC residents can receive coverage for a single, continuous 12-week (84-day) course of treatment each calendar year.
