Block Parties

A block party is a gathering on a closed city street that provides an opportunity for residents of a particular block to meet each other, have fun, and work together on neighbourhood improvements (such as a crosswalk, new playground equipment, or clean-up campaign). Block party kits are available through the office or online and contain information and all necessary forms. Costs for insurance, barricades, and permits have been eliminated as a result of cooperation between the Engineering Department and local community centre. Office hours are 8:30 am to 5 pm Monday to Friday.
