Bowen Island Family Place

Family centre offers education and support for parents and caregivers with young children from birth to age six. Focus is on strength-based family support that promotes connections between parents and their children, families, and the community. Provides developmentally appropriate play-based programming for children, a clothing exchange, and a resource lending library. Seminars and workshops are available on topics relating to parenting issues and early childhood development. Also links parents to resources off the island as needed. Drop-in centre hours are from 9 am to 12 noon Monday to Thursday. Drop-in fee is $3; annual fee is $75. Funded by Ministry of Children and Family Development (MCFD) as an Early Years Centre.
