Bridging to Employment - Prince George

Service Description

Offers a free nine-week program three times per year in Prince George for people who are unemployed or underemployed and looking for more education and skills. Welcomes participants from all cultural backgrounds, ages 16 or older. Incorporates cultural teachings of the Carrier and Sekani Nations and Indigenous learning modalities in a supportive classroom setting. Program includes training in resume, cover letter, interview, conflict resolution, money management, and communication skills. Also includes job readiness training and certifications including First Aid, Food Safe, Serving it Right, and First Host. Participants have the opportunity to complete work placements and explore options for further training. Classes are held 9 am to 4 pm Monday to Friday.
