Broadway Youth Resource Centre (BYRC)

One-stop centre providing a range of social, education, health, education, housing, employment, substance use, and life skills services. Services include alcohol and drug counselling and mental health counselling. The BYRC Resource Room offers youth ages 13 to 24 a drop-in centre with support workers, activities, a free pantry of nonperishable food, opportunities to connect with other youth, workshops, computer access, and referrals to community services. A hot meal is served at 5 pm Monday to Friday. The BYRC Youth Volunteer Program offers youth ages 13 to 24 one-to-one support to develop leadership in the community through placement in volunteer activities such as gardening, social media, kitchen activities, Youth Action Committee, and special events. One-on-one appointments for counselling, training, and other support can be booked from 9 am to 2 pm Monday to Friday; drop-in resource room hours are 2 pm to 7 pm Monday to Friday.
