Building and Safety Standards Branch

Responsible for regulating safety in the design, construction, and occupancy of buildings. Develops the BC Building Code, Fire Code, and other key building regulations. Also acts as a secretariat to the Building Code Appeal Board, BC's building code dispute resolution board.
