Building Blocks Vancouver (BBV)

A team of nurses, social workers and program staff provide home-based parenting support to families in Vancouver from their last trimester of pregnancy until their first-born reaches the age of five. Services include health and development monitoring, nutrition education, referrals to community resources, and supported transition to preschool or kindergarten. Offers in-person and virtual one-on-one meetings; in-person meetings may be done outdoors or in the home as needed. Service offered in Cantonese, English, Hindi, Korean, Mandarin, Punjabi, Spanish, Tagalog, Tamil, Urdu, and Vietnamese; no interpretation service for other languages available. Office hours are 9 am to 5 pm Monday to Friday. Funded by the Ministry of Children and Family Development (MCFD) in partnership with Vancouver Coastal Health.
