Service Description

Offers a variety of customized training programs and services to help individuals transition into work or improve their work situation. Programs assist participants to gain new skills, access career support, connect with employers, and find success in the workplace. Career Paths for Skilled Immigrants helps unemployed and underemployed skilled immigrants find employment that uses their pre-arrival skills, experience, and education. Specific program streams are available for health (newcomers with training and skills as a nurse, physician, sonographer, or health care assistant); and education and social services (newcomers with training and skills as a social service worker, community service worker, university professor, college or vocational instructor, early childhood educator, or ECE teaching assistant. CAVE (Career and Vocational Exploration) Youth Employment Program is a job readiness and essential skills training program for youth ages 17 to 29. See website for program eligibility requirements.
