Canada Dental Benefit

Service Description

Provides tax-free payments of $260, $390, or $650 for each eligible child under 12 years old for dental care for families earning less than $90,000 per year. Parents and guardians can apply for a maximum of two payments for each eligible child if the child receiving dental care does not have access to a private dental insurance plan. The first benefit period is for children under 12 years old as of December 1st, 2022 who receive dental care between October 1st, 2022 and June 30, 2023. The second benefit period is for children under 12 years old as of July 1, 2023 who receive dental care between July 1st, 2023 to June 30th, 2024. Benefit amounts are based on adjusted family net income; see website for details. Parents/guardians who meet the following criteria are eligible to apply: have a child under 12 years old whose dental costs are not covered by a private dental insurance plan or fully covered by another dental program provided by any level of government; receive the Canada Child Benefit (CCB); have filed their taxes for the previous year; and have an adjusted family net income under $90,000 per year; see website for full eligibility and application details.
