Service Description

Assists in paying the costs of a child's full- or part-time studies after high school through the addition of money into a Registered Education Savings Plan (RESP) for children from low-income families. No personal contributions to an RESP are required to receive assistance. Eligibility is based on the number of qualified children in the family, and adjusted income of the primary caregiver, including the income of a cohabitating spouse or common-law partner. Children must be born on or after January 1, 2004, be a resident of Canada, and have a valid Social Insurance Number (SIN). Eligible children can receive up to $2,000.
