Service Description

Offers wage subsidies to employers from not-for-profit organizations, the public sector, and private sector organizations with 50 or fewer full-time employees, to create summer work experiences for young people ages 15 to 30. Provides young people with opportunities to develop their skills and improve access to the labour market. Employer funding is prioritized for projects that support young people with barriers to employment, including youth who have not completed high school, racialized youth, and youth with disabilities. Employer applications are due by the end of January, annually. Applications can be submitted online, by mail or in-person at a Service Canada centre (see separate listings for locations and contact details). Serves Canada. Funded as a Youth Employment and Skills Strategy program.
