Service Description
Provides occupation-specific resources and support to help immigrant job seekers find employment that matches their skills, experience and knowledge. Stream 1 focuses on individuals with international education and experience in an in-demand health occupation in BC who require language or skill upgrading. Assists newcomers with international experience as an occupational therapist, dietitian, medical lab technician, or veterinarian. Services include career counselling specific to their occupation, support to get recertification education (where relevant), English language training specific to their occupation if they do not meet the language standards of their industry, and industry-specific supports that helps applicants to succeed. Virtual services available across BC. Funded by the Ministry of Municipal Affairs and Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada.
