Service Description

Provides short-term, intensive, inpatient support for youth ages 13 to 18 years of age who are experiencing serious concurrent mental health and substance use concerns. A multidisciplinary team provides support services with a holistic approach by offering assessment, stabilization, withdrawal management, treatment initiation, specialized therapeutic programming, and community-based planning. Services require active participation from youth, parent/caregivers and youth community resources to develop individualized treatment plans. Average stay is 14 to 20 days. Serves the North Shore, Richmond, the Sea-to-Sky Corridor, and the Sunshine Coast. Referral required from a local mental health or addictions services professional. Intake is through the through VCH Central Access and Discharge Team (CAD).
