Service Description

Provides subsidies and operational support for quality low-cost child care at over 50 licensed child care facilities in communities across BC. Child care is for infants/toddlers under 36 months and children ages three to school-age. Parents pay no more than $200 a month per child for full-time enrollment during regular business hours. For some low-income families, child care could be free. Monthly fees are $200 per month for full days (four hours or more), full time (Monday to Friday); $10 per day to a maximum of $200 per month for full days, part time (eg. full day, 3x per week); $140 per month for half days (four hours or less), full time (Monday to Friday); $7 per day to a maximum of $140/month for half days, part time (eg. half day, 3x per week). The Affordable Child Care Benefit (listed independently) may further reduce these fees for eligible families.
