Service Description

Youth Everlasting Seeds (YES) provides peer support to youth who are immigrants, refugees, and refugee claimants and who face multiple barriers. Engages them in activities that foster leadership and life skills, self-esteem, job readiness, and computer skills. Topics may include disease prevention, arts and digital storytelling, employment, volunteering, cooking and nutrition, settlement and integration, social justice, and public speaking. Services are offered in Arabic, English, French, German, and Tagalog. Meetings are held from 5 pm to 7:30 pm Mondays and Thursdays; registration is required. Offers an Inclusive Soccer program for children and youth ages four to 19 from low-income families or who have a disability. Intake is continuous; a seasonal membership fee is charged. Also offers a summer camp for children in July and August.
