Children's Respite

Provides a break for parents and primary caregivers, from full-time caregiving responsibilities, of children under the age of 19; children are cared for in a home-like setting designed for day and overnight stays. Staffed by trained support workers, the service attends to the physical, recreational, leisure, emotional, and spiritual needs of each child. Children are supported to strengthen interpersonal skills, personal care skills, and communication skills through crafts, games, activities and excursions. Apply through the Ministry of Children and Family Development (MCFD), or email the service's manager of children's respite. Funded through MCFD.
