Service Description

Provides Indigenous people who have been involved in the justice system with individualized, non-judgmental, wholistic support to transition back into the community. For Indigenous men released from federal institutions, offers 45 days of services including healing circles, sharing circles, spiritual sweats, learning from Elders, life skills, employment and career planning, and support with finding housing. Also supports Indigenous men who are on conditional release in the community through referrals to community services, accompaniment to appointments and cultural events, and weekly meetings. Works collaboratively with Indigenous partners to address the needs of men and women who are reintegrating back into the community and who are on statutory release, long-term supervision orders, or have a special condition of release to reside at a specific place, as well as Indigenous men and women who are homeless or at risk of being homeless.
