Collaborative Family Law Pro Bono Project

Provided by: BC Collaborative Roster Society

Service Description

Voluntary and confidential program for individuals going through separation and/or divorce who do not have lawyers and who are willing to meet and negotiate using the principles of collaborative practice, but who cannot afford the collaborative team for their case. To be eligible, individuals and their spouse must have a combined gross annual income of less than $75,000 and have less than $100,000 of equity in assets (excluding pension plans). Preference is given to applicants who are deemed more in need. The collaborative model provides a lawyer for each party, a neutral divorce coach, and a financial neutral party if needed. Serves BC.
