Service Description

Offers a weekly facilitated support group for parents with children from birth to six years of age. Program runs three times a year from various locations. Children are led in play-based activities while parents receive information on settlement and family support services. Topics include child development, parenting and discipline strategies, school readiness, and community resource orientation. Support groups are offered in Korean, Somali, and Vietnamese; no interpretation services for other languages are available. Offers virtual group sessions and one-on-one support by phone, email, and online. Office hours are 9 am to 5 pm Monday to Friday. Funded by Public Health Agency of Canada (PHAC).
