Service Description

Gives hope and support to vulnerable individuals and families through the provision of social services and practical assistance focusing on the basic necessities of life. Helps meet the immediate and short-term needs of people in distress through emergency assistance with food, thrift store vouchers for clothing and household goods, and emergency disaster services. Offers access to laundry and shower facilities from 8 am to 11:15 am Monday to Friday; shampoo, soap, and towels are provided. In partnership with the City of Cranbrook, provides free transit passes. In partnership with the Cranbrook Chamber of Commerce, provides vouchers for refurbished computers to those who qualify. Mouth Minders is a free dental clinic for low-income people that focuses on pain management and extractions; an appointment is required. Also operates food programs and a thrift store at this location; listed separately. Office hours are 8 am to 3:30 pm Monday to Friday.
