Community Impact Statement Program
Provides individuals the opportunity to write a statement on behalf of a community describing the impacts that the offence has caused to members of the community emotionally, physically, and financially. The community representative may include a drawing, poem, or letter in addition to a completed Community Impact Statement Form. Assistance of a victim service worker in the completion of forms and statements can be requested. A Community Impact Statement is not mandatory, but must be considered during the sentencing of a convicted offender, and can be read in court.
