Community Inclusion Services

Provides individual staff support to adults with developmental disabilities who are eligible for and receive funding through Community Living BC (CLBC), and who live in North Thompson area (Avola, Barriere, Birch Island, Blackpool, Blue River, Clearwater, Darfield, Little Fort, Louis Creek, McLure, and Vavenby). Promotes feelings of independence, confidence in skills and abilities, and inclusion. Staff work with individuals to enhance social connections, expand personal support networks, and pursue personal interests and new activities. Staff may also assist clients with accessing and participating in community recreation programs, utilizing community resources, joining a special interest group, on-the-job-training, and life skills development. Program hours vary; office hours are 8:30 am to 12 noon and 1 pm to 4:30 pm Monday to Friday.
