Connecting Seniors

A social group for older adults age 55 and up who are newcomers to Canada; priority is given to those who have been in Canada for five years or less. Focus is on making new friends, joining in community events, improving digital literacy skills, and learning about Canadian culture; includes information on Canadian systems, government benefits, and health topics. Also offers training sessions for Senior Navigators; graduates of the training go on to facilitate a 10 to 12 week peer support group. Meets from 9:30 am to 11:30 am on most Mondays, does not meet on stat holidays.
