Service Description

Responsible for the enforcement of environmental legislation. Focuses on natural resource law enforcement, and prevention and response to conflicts with wildlife that threaten public safety. Responds to reports of larger wildlife (such as coyotes, bear, cougar, and moose) in populated areas that are injured or causing problems. Report All Poachers and Polluters (RAPP) is a 24-hour hotline that allows the public to report known or suspected violations of environmental protection laws; reports can also be filed online at https://forms.gov.bc.ca/environment/rapp. Hours are 8:30 am to 12 noon and 1 pm to 4:30 pm Monday to Friday.
