COVID-19, Substance Use, and Safer Supply

Service Description
BCCSU is working to respond to dual public emergencies (COVID-19 and the ongoing opioid overdose crisis) through guidance, education and training, and other resources to support the COVID-19 response amongst people who use substances. Eligibility requirements include being at risk, suspected, or confirmed COVID-19 positive; having a history of ongoing active substance use; and at high risk of withdrawal, overdose, craving, or other harms related to drug use. Services may be accessed through physicians and nurse practitioners, as well as designated service providers such as rapid access clinics (811 can provide information on locations).
