Service Description

Provides culturally sensitive and language-specific mental health assessment and treatment to adults suffering from a major mental health disorder. Services include psychiatric assessment, medication, short-term individual psychotherapy, treatment recommendations, education for patients and families, and referral to community resources. Referral required from physician, social worker, mental health team, or school counsellor; family physician must also be involved. Service offered in Cantonese, Farsi, French, Hindi, Hungarian, Japanese, Mandarin, Punjabi, Russian, Urdu, and Vietnamese; interpretation service is used for other languages. Hours are 8:30 am to 4:30 pm Monday to Friday.
