Service Description

Runs programs and camps throughout the Lower Mainland: Tynehead (Surrey), Burnaby Lake (Burnaby), Pacific Spirit (Vancouver), and Capilano River (North Vancouver) regional parks. All camps and programs are completely free to all participants. Weekday Excursion Camps are a beginner's introduction to the outdoors; the program focuses on getting youth ages 12 to 18 outside, moving, and connected with nature and each other. Offered Tuesday to Friday at Burnaby Lake Regional Park, camps provide youth the opportunity to have fun, become better leaders, learn new skills, and enjoy natural beauty. Camps are designed for youth who want to explore the natural world, meet new people, and develop their confidence and leadership skills. Camps are lead by Peer Leaders aged 15 to 18 alongside camp supervisors. Overnight Adventure Camps offer three-day, two-night overnight camping experiences to youth ages 12 to 18 in both tenting and cabin options. Camps are led by peer leaders ages 15 to 18 alongside camp supervisors, and run from Friday to Sunday on select weekends at Tynehead, Capilano River, and Pacific Spirit regional parks throughout July and August.
